Weekly performances showcase the rich, diverse culture of the Hispanic community

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is hosting weekly performances at Reagan National and Dulles International airports that showcase the vibrant culture of the region’s growing Hispanic community.

“The Airports Authority celebrates the many contributions of the Hispanic community to the region’s rich cultural diversity and continued growth,” said Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer Jerome L. Davis. “As a vital growth market, we reaffirm our commitment to pursue opportunities that better connect the National Capital Region and Latin America.”

Between September 15 and October 15, passengers traveling through both airports will be treated to music and dance that reflect the diverse culture of the Hispanic people. Performers include:

  • The Trifilio Tango Trio, a musical ensemble performing tango originals and classics led by Argentinians Emmanuel Trifilio and Devree Lewis.
  • Papalca, the largest and best-known Peruvian arts, music and dance group in the region.
  • Canto Sur, a Latin jazz duo featuring Cecilia Esquivel and Dani Cortaza.
