Convenient New Option Allows Passengers to File Non-Emergency Police Reports from Any Location

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department recently launched a new system enabling the public to file police reports online via the www.mwaa.com website.

The Citizen Online Police Reporting System is a convenient option for members of the public to file reports for these non-emergency incidents:

  • Theft
  • Lost property
  • Theft from motor vehicle
  • Hit and run
  • Identity Theft
  • Vehicle tampering
  • Harassing phone calls
  • Vandalism

These incidents must have occurred within the Airports Authority Police Department’s jurisdiction, which includes Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport, the Dulles Toll Road, and the Dulles Airport Access Highway.

To file an online police report, follow these steps:

        • Go to www.mwaa.com

        • Click on the black box labeled “Emergency Services”

        • Click on the link “Citizen Online Police Reporting”

Airports Authority Police will review each online report and provide the reporting party with an electronic notification of the report status and a printed police report.

This is a convenient method for the public that we serve to file a report from a distant location and provide the department with detailed information on the incident.

Individuals using the online reporting process are advised that filing a false police report is a crime.
