Convenient payment options now available; more improvements coming soon

Labor Day weekend travelers who park at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport have a new feature at their fingertips. A new automated parking system includes walk-up pre-payment machines, providing customers a speedy exit from the parking garage or lot. The new parking system is similar to Dulles International’s existing “Pay and Go” system, with the added option of ticketless transactions. Convenient options at Reagan National now include:

  • Credit Card Payment - No ticket needed. Insert your credit card at the gate when entering the lot. The system will record your entry time. When returning from your trip, drive to any "Credit" vehicle lane and use the same credit card for payment. If you have an unpaid ticket, these lanes also accept automated payment by credit card. Valid cards include Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
  • Pre-Payment Machines - Take a ticket at the entry gate and keep it with you. When returning from your trip, insert the ticket and credit card at a walk-up pre-payment machine. The ticket will be returned to you for speedy exit through any "Prepaid" vehicle lane.
  • Cash Payment - All garages and lots have staffed “Cash” vehicle lanes 24/7 to accept cash payment or assist with other payment options.

Holiday weekend travelers can check real-time parking availability athttp://www.mwaa.com/reagan/227.htm. From a smartphone, go to www.mwaa.com and follow the links to “parking.” Coming soon, new onsite displays showing the available space count for each level in the parking garages will be activated at the airport. Also, seven newly purchased “clean diesel” airport shuttle buses will soon be rotated into service.

Customers should note after the Labor Day holiday, the Economy lot daily rate will increase $2 effective September 5 (click here to view all parking rates). Parking rates in the garages and at Dulles International Airport will remain unchanged.
