National Air and Space Museum Dulles Collections Center

Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act, as amended (NEPA) (42 US.C. 4321, et seq.) and the Council on Environmental Quality Regulations for Implementing the Procedural Provisions of NEPA (40 CFR parts 1500-1508), the Smithsonian Institution, in cooperation with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the National Air and Space Museum Dulles Collections Center at Washington Dulles International Airport, in Fairfax County, Virginia.  After careful consideration of the information contained in the Final EA, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has determined that significant environmental effects will not result from the proposed action.  Therefore, the FAA has issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI).
