Passengers Greeted by Cherry Blossom Themed Decorations and Promotions

Washington’s Airports are getting into the spirit of the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
Ronald Reagan Washington National and Washington Dulles International will be decked in pink lighting and offer cherry blossom-themed promotions and dining options.

Reagan National Airport will add pink lights to its parking structures, which will be visible through the garages’ glass walls. Washington Dulles International will bask the Main Terminal in pink lighting in the evenings. (photos of the lighting are below)

Passengers also will be able to embrace the cherry blossom spirit by enjoying food and retail offerings promoting the annual spring event. Specials featured at the airport stores include cherry blossom shirts, handbags and other apparel; cherry blossom pink-themed treats; and discounts on purchases. “After a winter that seemed to be never ending, Reagan National and Washington Dulles International airports are welcoming Spring by celebrating the National Cherry Blossom festivities,” Jack Potter, Airports Authority President and CEO said. “Visitors to the nation’s capital for the festival will get their first experience of this amazing tradition as they walk through Washington’s airports.”
