RFQI 7-09-C023: Task Order A/E Services to Support Dulles Toll Road Improvements
| Description: The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority plans to retain professional Architect / Engineer (A/E) services to provide a full array of design support to implement various study recommendations and enable major asset repair and rehabilitation of facilities on the Dulles Toll Road as well as improvements to other Dulles Corridor roadways. Additionally, work will include design, phasing, and implementation of projects in the Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Services are expected to involve a range of disciplines to address and quantify technical subjects using a task order format. | |

RFP 1-09-C139: A380 Gate Modifications, Dulles Airport
| Description: The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision to construct modifications to Concourse B at Washington Dulles International Airport to accommodate the new A380 aircraft. The work consists of the construction of an approximately 800 square foot structure to provide ADA compliant service to the upper deck on an Airbus A380 aircraft. Construction of the structure will require minor demolition of the existing exterior storefront system on the existing Concourse B building. Mechanical and electrical systems will be extended from the existing building. Work also includes modification to the existing hydrant fuel system including the installation of one new hydrant fuel pit and new concrete paving where the existing pavement was removed. | |
