CPR/AED
CPR/AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking on an adult or child. This course teaches skills with American Heart Association’s research proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the learning of skills.
First Aid
First Aid is a classroom, video-based, instructor led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes, until emergency medical services arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other emergencies.
Fire Extinguisher
Workplace fires and explosions kill hundreds and injure thousands of workers each year and cause millions of dollars of damage to property. When used properly, fire extinguishers can save lives and property by putting out a small fire or controlling a fire until additional help arrives. The Fire & Rescue Department offers as part of its customer service program, a fire extinguisher training program to airport tenants and employees. These classes are conducted free of charge by Fire & Rescue Department personnel at the fire stations.
