The Fire & Rescue Department owns, operates and maintains an Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (ARFF) Live Fire Training Facility at Washington Dulles International Airport.  Construction of the LFTF was completed in 1997. The LFTF was constructed by Symtron and is currently maintained by Kidde Fire Trainers.
