The Real Estate Department manages select properties at Dulles International Airport. These include free-standing commercial buildings outside of the airport terminal, land leases with existing leasehold improvements and major parcels of land within the 12,000-acre area comprising Dulles International Airport.
Major land projects include the 425-acre parcel known as Western Lands located on the most westerly edge of the airport facing Route 606. The project is in the lot layout & design process and is going through a mandatory environmental assessment with a target delivery date of June 2017. Lots will be available for long term ground leases for commercial industrial use.
