**The Airport Authority normally follows the OPM guidelines for Federal holiday closures and any other delayed openings and early closings.**

Please check the last page of the Taxi Operator STA Form for a list of acceptable forms of identification that must be presented with your completed forms to the Taxicab Permit Office.

Effective June 1, 2022, the Taxi Permit Office will cease accepting new applications. Any drivers that received an email from the Taxi Permit office to submit a Security Threat Assessment form, Permit Application, and two required credentials, prior to June 1, 2022, can still submit their documents.

Effective May 2, 2022, the Taxi Permit Office will begin accepting emails from Licensed drivers that want to be added to the new waiting list we are compiling. All communication will be via email. Do NOT come to the Taxicab Permit Office.

Effective February 8, 2016, the Taxicab Permit Office will cease accepting new applications. The Taxicab Permit Office will process, in order received, the pending applications. Read about it here.

Effective January 15, 2016, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority will not allow “parking” of an Airport Taxicab Operator’s Permit for any reason. Effective that date, Permits will expire on the date stamped on the permit, although there will be a 30 day grace period in which a permit can be renewed without submitting to the geography test. Read more about it here.

Effective October 14, 2013, the fee for a Security Threat Assessment (STA) is $11.00.

Ronald Reagan National Airport Taxi Operator's Permit Applicants, as of October 14, 2013, are required to complete a Security Threat Assessment (STA) in addition to the regular Taxi Operators Permit Application Form. Please complete both the Taxi Operators Permit and STA form (links below) and bring the forms to the Taxicab Permit Office.
