Fire & Rescue at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is located in Arlington, Virginia, just across the Potomac River from the Nation’s Capital.
The Fire & Rescue Department operates out of Fire Station 301 which houses a battalion chief, EMS supervisor, 2 aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) units, engine and medic unit. Additional units crossed staffed are our mobile command post, hazardous materials unit and a medical care support unit.
There are 2 River Rescue boat houses which are designated North and South. They contain a total of 2 airboats, 1 Boston Whaler and a Safe boat.
Fire & Rescue Department personnel assigned to DCA answer approximately 3000 calls for service each year. These calls include automatic aid to the surrounding jurisdictions of Arlington County, City of Alexandria and the District of Columbia.
