The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department (MWAA Police Department) is an accredited law enforcement agency dedicated to protecting the traveling public, airport employees, and critical infrastructure at Washington Dulles International Airport, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, and the Dulles Toll Road.

Our officers provide around-the-clock police services focused on safety, security, and customer service across one of the nation’s busiest aviation systems. The department works in partnership with federal, state, and local agencies to safeguard passengers, support aviation operations, and respond to emergencies with professionalism and integrity.

The MWAA Police Department is committed to proactive policing, rapid emergency response, crime prevention, and community engagement. Our sworn officers and professional staff are specially trained in airport security operations, transportation safety, counterterrorism awareness, traffic enforcement, and emergency preparedness.
