Beginning Monday, August 12, 2002, several entrance and exit lanes in the Hourly Parking Lot at Washington Dulles International Airport will be closed as part of construction for a new parking payment system that will be introduced later this year. The new system will allow travelers to pay for their parking inside the terminal, using automated machines and exit the parking lots more quickly and easily.
For approximately six weeks, motorists parking in the hourly lot, which is located directly in front of the Terminal at Dulles Airport, will be restricted to two entrance lanes and three exit lanes.
However, during peak hours in the evening there will be a fourth CASH ONLY exit lane available.
Those coming to Dulles to either pick up or drop off passengers may also consider parking in the Daily Garage.
This work is necessary in order to install equipment for a new parking payment system at Dulles Airport. The new system, to be unveiled in the fall, is called Pay & Go.
Similar work on entrance and exit lanes will take place in the Economy Lots beginning in September.
