Project Summary
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is soliciting Proposals from qualified and experienced manufacturers and suppliers to provide airfield lighting products and related services through a cooperative purchasing program.

This Request for Proposals (RFP) is being issued by the Authority in collaboration with RFxPremier, a division of the Procurement Professionals Alliance (PPA). The purpose of this RFP is to establish one or more Master Agreements for the supply of airfield lighting systems, equipment, components, and associated services. This approach is intended to ensure that the resulting Master Agreements reflect recognized best practices and provide broad applicability across public sector agencies.

The scope of the Master Agreements may include, but is not limited to, runway and taxiway lighting fixtures, airfield guidance signage, approach lighting systems, airfield lighting control and monitoring systems, associated electrical infrastructure, replacement parts, and technical and support services.

The Airports Authority is establishing this cooperative procurement vehicle to streamline the acquisition of airfield lighting products and services for both its own use and for the benefit of participating public entities nationwide. Participation is voluntary and designed to be convenient and cost-effective, with no membership or registration requirements.

This initiative reflects the Authority’s commitment to advancing efficient procurement practices, supporting modernization of critical airfield infrastructure, and leveraging cooperative purchasing to deliver high-quality, competitively sourced solutions to public agencies.
