Students can apply through February 12 for paid summer internships at the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. The types of positions and eligibility requirements can be reviewed at www.mwaa.com/intern. Applicants must submit a resume online, complete an application and take an online test to determine minimum qualifications. Successful applicants will be contacted for followup interviews and a background check (required for all Airports Authority positions).

The 2016 program runs from May 16 through August 5. Positions are located at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport, or the Metrorail Project Office (Herndon, VA) based on the functional area.

The Summer Intern Program provides short-term assistance to Airports Authority Offices and allows Summer Interns opportunity to gain on-the-job experience. In addition to the work they produce, Summer Interns are a potential recruitment source for full-time positions.
