Senegalese flag carrier becomes only airline to operate one-stop service between Dulles and Dakar

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority announced Friday that Air Senegal will launch one-stop direct service from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) to Dakar, Senegal’s Blaise Diagne International Airport (DSS) beginning September 2, 2021, with two flights weekly. Service to and from Dulles International will include a stopover at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), where inbound passengers will clear U.S. Customs. Passengers on this new route will travel aboard Airbus A330-900neo aircraft operated in conjunction with Hi Fly.

“We welcome Air Senegal’s new one-stop service from Dakar, Senegal, to the Dulles International family,” said Carl Schultz, acting vice president of airline business development for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. “This added flight will provide even more convenience and connectivity to Western Africa for residents and visitors of the National Capital Region.”
