New Dulles airline flies nonstop to Macon, Georgia, and Plattsburgh, New York
Airline and airport representatives, staff and passengers gathered Thursday at Dulles International Airport to celebrate the inaugural launch of nonstop service on Contour Airlines from Washington, D.C., to Macon, Georgia, and Plattsburgh, New York, on Embraer ERJ-135 aircraft. With this new addition, Dulles travelers can choose among 46 airlines – more than any other airport in the National Capital Region.

A ceremonial ribbon-cutting event took place at Gate B70 for the Macon flight. Speaking on behalf of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, Airline Business Development Director Tom Reich said, “These new flights have started just in time for a busy travel season. Spring and summer offer excellent opportunities to visit Washington, D.C. It is now quick and easy for customers from Macon and Plattsburgh to experience the cherry blossoms, monuments and more.”
Speaking on behalf of Contour Airlines, Vice President of Airport Operations David Woodard noted, “This is the start of something very exciting here at Washington Dulles with service to two new destinations that will begin with four daily flights. We look forward to growing passenger traffic to Macon and Plattsburgh and leveraging the convenient interline connections between Contour and United Airlines.”
