Event at Dulles International Airport will provide a strategic update on steps to make the airport stronger

Virginia Secretary of Transportation Aubrey Layne will deliver the keynote address at Dulles Matters II, at Dulles International Airport on Wednesday, May 11.

The event, which builds on the first Dulles Matters summit in April 2015, will provide an update on the importance of Dulles International to the economy of the National Capital Region, steps taken to strengthen the airport’s competitive position in light of recent changes to flights, and shared opportunities to partner with the airport.

In addition to Secretary Layne, Dulles Matters II will include remarks from airport officials, local elected officials, and tourism and business leaders. The event will culminate in breakout sessions and tours for attendees specifically interested in advocacy, concessions, land development or air service/tourism.

Media wishing to cover the event onsite should contact the Airports Authority media relations office no later than 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10.
