Reagan National and Dulles International Runways Expected to Remain Closed Through Sunday, January 24. Significant snowfall and high winds, coupled with the continued closure of roads and public transportation in surrounding communities, make resumption of normal flight operations at the airports unlikely on Sunday.
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority announced Tuesday that its Vice President for Air Service Planning and Development, Mark Treadaway, has been named to the new position of Vice President for Business Outreach, to help advance and promote regional economic development, with emphasis on the growing tourism industry.
The underground tunnel connecting Parking Garage 1 and the Main Terminal will be closed to accomodate the construction of Silver Line station at the airport. Increased shuttle bus service will be provided for passengers.
