Airports Get a Snapshot of the Americas With New Art Exhibits at Dulles International and Reagan National

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority will debut two new exhibits at Dulles International and Reagan National airports as part of its Arts Program. The exhibit “America!” focuses on panoramic landscape scenes from around the nation taken by members of the American Society of Photographers. “America!” will be on display until April 30, 2013, in the Gateway Gallery at Washington Dulles International Airport (in the connecting walkway between the AeroTrain C-Gates and the C Concourse).

Airports Authority Hosts 22nd Annual Business Opportunity Seminar

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority will hold its 22nd Annual Business Opportunity Seminar for Local Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, and Minority and Woman-Owned Businesses at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center.  Local, small, minority and woman-owned businesses are strongly encouraged to attend.

Limited Number of Flights Resume at Washington Airports After Sandy

Airlines serving Dulles International and Reagan Washington National airports resumed a limited number of flights Tuesday, following Hurricane Sandy.  It is likely many airlines will resume operations Wednesday.  

Passengers are strongly encouraged to check their flight status before leaving for the airport.

The airports are coordinating with airlines, airport tenants and other stakeholders to resume normal operations as quickly as possible.

Flights Canceled at Washington Airports Until Hurricane Sandy Passes

All airlines serving Reagan National and Dulles International Airports have canceled operations until further notice due to Hurricane Sandy. However, the airports will remain open throughout this significant weather event.

The Airports Authority strongly encourages passengers not to travel to the airports. Many food and retail concessions are closed and staffing is limited. Passengers should contact their airline directly to confirm or rebook travel.

Numerous Flights Canceled at Washington Airports Ahead of Hurricane Sandy

Airlines serving Dulles International and Reagan National airports canceled most flights for Monday in advance of Hurricane Sandy, which forecasters predict will bring damaging wind and heavy rain to the region.

Passengers are strongly encouraged to check their flight status before leaving for the airport, especially on Monday, when many cancellations are expected. Both airports plan to remain open during this significant weather event.
