Alexandria, VA— Jeffrey Earl Thompson, CPA, founder and President and CEO of Thompson, Cobb, Bazilio & Associates, P.C., an accounting, management and financial consulting firm headquartered in Washington, D.C., has been appointed to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors by Mayor Marion Barry, Jr. Mr. Thompson will complete the late Councilmember Polly Shackleton’s six-year term on the Board.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors has elected its officers for 2001. At the monthly board meeting today, Carolyn Boone Lewis was elected as incoming Chairman and Norman M. Glasgow, Jr. was elected Vice Chairman. Gregory Wolfe was re-elected as Secretary and Counsellor to the Board. They will assume these positions on January 1, 2001.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors added two new members recently and elected a new Vice Chairman. Commonwealth of Virginia Governor Mark R. Warner has appointed Anne Crossman and Mame Reiley to represent the Commonwealth on the Board. Additionally the Board elected David T. Ralston, Jr. as Vice Chairman.

Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell recently appointed the Honorable Thomas M. Davis III to serve on the Airports Authority Board of Directors. Mr. Davis is the Director of Federal Government Affairs for Deloitte LLP. Prior to joining Deloitte, he represented Fairfax County as an elected official for 29 years at the local and federal levels.  He served as the supervisor for Mason Magisterial District and then went on to serve as chairman of the county board.  From 1995 to 2008 he represented the 11th Congressional District of Virginia in the U.S. Congress.  

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors on Wednesday elected the Honorable Thomas M. Davis III as its Vice Chairman. Mr. Davis replaces former Vice Chairman Leonard Manning, whose term on the Board ended earlier this year.

Anthony H. Griffin has joined the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors. He is currently a faculty member at George Mason University’s Department of Public and International Affairs and is the at-large Board Member of the Fairfax County Water Authority.

The Honorable Elaine McConnell has joined the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors, following her appointment by Virginia Governor Robert F. McDonnell. McConnell, a former Member of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, represented the Springfield Magisterial District for 24 years. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, McConnell and her husband, Warren “Mac” McConnell and their three children, moved to Fairfax County in 1961.

Todd A. Stottlemyer has been appointed to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors by Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell. Mr. Stottlemyer currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Acentia. Acentia is a private equity backed (SnowPhipps) management and information technology company providing lifecycle IT services and solutions to federal agencies, state and local governments, and commercial customers.

Three new members have joined the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors. William Shaw McDermott is an attorney and partner at K&L Gates, a law firm where he specializes in complex commercial, class actions, internal investigations and the defense of government enforcement actions litigation. During his 36-year career, he has prepared and tried cases in state and federal courts on a wide variety of subjects, primarily in civil matters.
