Travelers and visitors to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport can find an array of eye-catching exhibits to explore in the terminals. In addition to the permanent art which is part of the architecture of Terminal B/C which displays the work of thirty local and national artists, there are three separate art displays and a permanent historical exhibit available to the public. In Terminal A, the historic 1941 original Airport Terminal, the Exhibit Hall presents two permanent displays.

Construction of Dulles Parking Garages Requires Change in Terminal Parking Lot

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority has awarded a $95 million contract to Turner Construction Company to build two parking garages at Washington Dulles International Airport. These garages, totaling 2.7 million square feet, will be the first ever constructed at the airport. They will be located close to the Terminal and will provide over 8,400 covered parking spaces. The garages are scheduled to open in 2002.

Airports Authority Board Elects New Officers

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors has elected its officers for 2001. At the monthly board meeting today, Carolyn Boone Lewis was elected as incoming Chairman and Norman M. Glasgow, Jr. was elected Vice Chairman. Gregory Wolfe was re-elected as Secretary and Counsellor to the Board. They will assume these positions on January 1, 2001.

Airports Authority Police Waiting Tables for Charity

A group of Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Officers will arm themselves with trays and aprons to support Special Olympics as part of the “Cops and Lobsters” fund raising event on Friday, March 2nd. Reagan National Airport Parking Expected to Be Heavily Used Over the Holiday Week

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is expecting heavy travel during the upcoming holiday period and is urging passengers or those meeting them to call ahead to check on the status of available parking at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Based on figures compiled last year, parking garages and lots are expected to be heavily used beginning as early as this weekend April 7th and peaking mid-week April 11th.
