Slater and Japanese Minister of Transport Takao Fujii held a ceremony at Washington Dulles International Airport where they signed a Memorandum of Understanding which will allow the two countries to increase aviation travel and commerce.

Alexandria, VA— United Airlines announced today plans to begin operating a second schedule of transatlantic evening flights starting on June 10 when new flights will leave Dulles at 9:30 p.m. in route to Frankfurt and Paris. This will expand United Airlines service from Dulles to 69 daily departures.

Alexandria, VA --  American Airlines and United Airlines will begin daily non-stop service from Washington Dulles International Airport to San Jose International Airport beginning on August 1 and September 9 respectively. The daily flights are the first to connect the Silicon Valley area with the growing high technology Dulles corridor, linking the two largest centers for data communications and internet technology companies in the nation.
