Alexandria, VA—Alexandria, VA— The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority has announced that 1997 saw dramatic growth in the number of passengers using Washington Dulles International Airport -- a million-passenger increase.

Alexandria, VA— On Saturday, March 14th, U.S. Secretary of Transportation Rodney E. Slater and Japanese Minister of Transport Takao Fujii held a ceremony at Washington Dulles International Airport where they signed a Memorandum of Understanding which will allow the two countries to increase aviation travel and commerce.
Dulles Airport Adds New Parking for Summer Travel Season

Alexandria, VA— Anticipating a busy summer travel season, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority will open an additional 2,000 parking spaces on Thursday, May 21. This will bring the total number of public parking spaces to 12,117.
"We have seen continuing strong growth at Dulles, and served an additional one million passengers in 1997." said Airports Authority President/CEO James A. Wilding. "This summer will continue that trend so we are expanding our parking supply."
