One Million Customers and Growing

Metro and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) today commemorated a major milestone topping one million customers at the Washington Dulles International Airport Metrorail Station since opening in November.  During a celebration event at the station, Metro and MWAA surprised a lucky traveler as the ceremonial one-millionth customer to go through the Dulles International Airport Station. Ivy Cheng arrived at the station greeted with cheers, Silver Line memorabilia, and gifts provided by Metro, Dulles International Airport and United Airlines.

Swiss International Air Lines to Launch New Nonstop Service From Dulles International to Zurich

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority announced today that Swiss International Air Lines will begin new nonstop service between Zurich (ZRH) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) on April 1, 2024. Flights will operate daily during the summer and 5x/week in the winter. Passengers on this new route will travel aboard an Airbus 330-300 aircraft featuring first, business and economy class cabins.

At a ribbon-cutting on Wednesday, executives of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, Capital One and TAV Operations Services celebrated the completion of an 8,500-square-foot Capital One Lounge constructed at the base of Washington Dulles International Airport’s historic Air Traffic Control Tower.
